Does design in an art setting immediately make it art; or is it still design? How much is a t-shirt worth if it is considered to be art; and how much if it is just considered as “an object”. Is it possible to give new value to a 'worthless'/mass produced object?

What is art? When and why does something become art? How and when does something turn into design? What or who decides what value something has? Is it the material, the process, the concept, the exhibition space, the artist, the viewer...or coud it be something else?

The Magpie Gallery has three pictures of the same image. One is digitally printed, one is silk screened and one is drawned by hand. I have hung ut a 'fake' price liste where I have priced each picture individually after four different criterias - to raise questions about the value of an art work.

Bags, cups, magnets, key rings, mouse pads, pillows, signed greeting cards, t-shirts, notebooks, drawn magpies on hand made paper, wallpaper, posters, pens and greeting cards with envelope.
In other words: mass produced objects, art and craft.
None of the tings in the shop is priced. My intention is to make people question what this 'is'... It is a shop with lots of design objects, but it is also an art installation? So are the things in the shop art or design? And what price would YOU give the items?
